We currently have four vacancies on our governing body. If you feel you have the skills and passion to join our board please contact our Clerk, Felicity Aldridge on 01398 323 223.
Co-opted Governors are appointed by the Governing Body often to meet the need for a specific set of skills, knowledge or experience. Co-opted Governors can be people who live or work in the community served by the school, or people who do not work or live close to the school, but are committed to the good governance and success of the school.
Local authority governors work as part of the governing body team to promote high standards of educational achievement for every child. The perspective you bring is about how the school fits into the wider provision of education, and you play a key role in ‘linking’ the governing body to information about educational developments and Council priorities.
Most Foundation Governors are appointed by either the Diocesan Education Board or the Parochial Church Council (PCC). The Foundation Governors represent the historic link with the original establishment of the school and its distinctive religious ethos.
