Statutory Consultation on Admissions Arrangements for 2019/20 academic year

The School Admissions Code requires all Admission Authorities to consult annually when there are proposals to alter existing admission arrangements.

 

The LA is the Admissions Authority for all Community and Voluntary Controlled schools as well as having overall responsibility for co-ordinating admissions with all other admission authorities.

 

This consultation is for the Local Authority Admission Arrangements for VC and Community Schools and the primary and secondary co-ordinated schemes as well as on behalf of a number of own admission authority schools and academies. It commences on 15 December 2017 and will end on 31 January 2018.

This consultation relates to arrangements for the normal admissions round (starting and transferring school) for September 2019, as well as the in year arrangements for school admission during the 2019/20 academic year.

 

Notifying a comment or objection

During the consultation period, consultees are invited to submit comments to the proposed arrangements. Where this is regarding Published Admission Numbers further details can be found in appendix B including details of how a VC or Community School can raise an objection against the Published Admission Number set for the school.
